4. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data and Legal Basis
The purpose of this register is to process the contact details of customers and potential customers of Wega Group Oy, Wega Fuels Oy and V-S Biojalostamo Oy. Personal data is processed for the purpose of customer relationship management, as well as the sale and marketing of services.
The processing of personal data in the register is based on a contract, consent, or legitimate interest.
5. Data Retention Period
Personal data is removed from the register when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, and no later than five years after the end of the need related to the contact.
The register is also used for sending market reports. The data subject may withdraw their consent to receive market reports at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not automatically result in the removal of the data subject’s information from the Customer, Sales and Marketing Register.

7. Regular Sources of Personal Data
Personal data is collected primarily from the data subject themselves, as well as from contracts or other enquiries related to the management of the customer relationship.
With the data subject’s consent, personal data may also be collected in connection with various events and occasions.
In addition, personal data may be collected from public sources or from authorities or companies providing personal data services.
8. Disclosure and Transfer of Data
Personal data is not routinely transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
9. Protection of the Register and Data Security
All personal data is processed confidentially.
Electronic data is stored in information systems protected by personal user IDs and passwords. Access is granted only to employees of the company and solely to the extent required by their job duties.
10. Rights of the Data Subject
The data subject has the right to access the personal data concerning them stored in the register and to receive a copy of such data.
The data subject has the right to request that the company, as the data controller, rectifies inaccurate personal data or completes incomplete personal data.
In addition, the data subject has the right to request the deletion of outdated personal data. Where the processing is based on consent, the data subject has the right to request the deletion of their personal data if they withdraw their consent and no other lawful basis for processing exists.
To exercise any of the rights described above, the data subject must contact the person responsible for the register in writing.
